Singapore Flyer Malfunction

Couple of days ago, the Singapore Flyer malfunctioned causing about 173 passengers to be stranded in the capsules for nearly 7 hours!!

The investigations are going on, causing the closure of the flyer until 2009...Unlucky, just when the festive week is coming in, chritsmas and the new year where the crowds gonna increase, this happened..really unlucky....

But the stranded passengers aure got an experience of their lifetime!!! Having the chance to repel from the flyer!!! Who else would have such a chance?

Pig = Animal of the year?

A pig named "Zhu Jianqiang" which means "Strong Pig" survived for 36 days buried beneath rubble in quake-hit southwest China has been named the nation's animal of the year...hahaha...this earned him celebrity status and a plush life as the top attraction at an earthquake museum.

Surviving on rainwater and a bag of charcoal during his ordeal, Strong pig was sold to the Jianchuan Museum, which agreed to nurture him for the rest of his life as a reminder of the nation's resilience in disaster.
Now free from the worry of the slaughterhouse, the pig enjoys a cushy life at the museum, the report said.
So much for: "It sucks to be a pig living in stys and feeding on swill" HA!!

Such agility for a president? whahaha....

The people protests because they THINK that the governement will not dare to do anything drastic....hence they climb over the government's head....

Something must definfitely be done!!! I don't think there will be a peaceful way out...the protesters want the existing government out and will not stop unless he step down...then another protest will come for the next government to step down...if protests cannot do the trick, they will occupy and shut down the airport again as they know it works for sure....*sigh*

In china, a young woman's eardrum was ruptured from kissing....what da heck?!!! kissing rupturing eardrums?!!!!

Medical reports say that the kiss reduced the pressure in the mouth, causing imbalance in air pressure between the 2 inner ears and led to a broken ear drum...fortunately the lady will recover in about two months, otherwise she would really curse and swear...who would ever thought that kissing is would cause harm?!!

Don't understand...should have just let them stay in little india. Why put them all over the place when you can contain them at one area? Crimes will increase, inconvenience to local residents will occur and much more...so many problems and we are letting them all over the place...really don't understand.....
Already with serangoon we are not happy.....it's our safety for goodness sake....why exchange our safety over these foreign workers' travelling convenience? If little india is far from their work sites then let it be!!! they'll just have to wake earlier, spend abit more on transport....why why why...really don't understand!!!

What is wrong the past 7 days?

Really frustrating....nothing is right in this world...

1) There is no telecast for Ghost Whisperer this week.....why must they stop for a break in the middle of the season? Hope it don't happen to Heroes...

2) Liverpool drew where they should have gone 3 points ahead. 25 shots, 17 corners, 0 goals...whadda heck?!!

3) Singaporean got killed by terrorists in mumbai. and she was staying at a top grade hotel....so now here's some points to ponder...generally top hotel make good targets for terrorists...we lurrvvveeee top hotels for its luxury....exchange luxury for safety? should we avoid top hotels to reduce the risks of being terrorised? Statistics could prove that top hotels are safe but there is always a "sway sway ah".

4) Bangkok in chaos, causing cancellation in my Bangkok business cum leisure trip...these people really nothing to do...no work? no family? no life? no government will have 100% support from its citizens...this will never end unless the thai governement do something drastic like China's Tian An Men?

5) The U.S going into recession....then why is the US currency still going up?!!! i wana shop at ebay and amazon!!! US dollar down down down!!!!

6) Companies undergoing retrenchments...why can't they just go for pay cuts rather than lay off?!! i'm quite sure that most people would settle for a lower pay rather than no pay for a period untl the economy recovers...

7) Hong Kong's top TV station, TVB laying off 200 workers....you lay off they have no jobs then no consumer power then no sales then no profit then higher inventory then no production then no purchase of raw materials then no work then lay off again....THIS WILL ENVER END!!!!

Sad thing...it is confirmed that the Singaporean held hostage in the Mumbai terrorism attack has become a victim in the terror attacks...
Ms Lo Huei Yen, 28, a lawyer, was identified by her husband, who was accompanied by Singapore's High Commissioner to India.

its seems that there will be people always angry, always waiting to instill fear and terror into others...Don't understand what's wrong with these people...

This time it happened in Mumbai, India...Commandos stormed into 2 luxury hotels and held hostages after a group calling itself the "Deccan Mujahedeen" (what kinda name is that?!!) claimed responsibility for the attacks late Wednesday night on the Taj Mahal and Oberoi Trident hotels, and eight other locations, including the main train station, a hospital and an up-market restaurant.

Reports say that these people targeted the americans and the brits...more than 100 people were killed....so sad...don't understand why they can treat human lives like that...when a person is ill, we try all methods and get back to health...and these people are blowing away lives like squashing houseflies...

A singaporean was among those held hostage...problems problems and more problems...as if the big hu-ha in thailand is not enough....i'm suppose to go on a business trip to Bangkok in December...but i guess it'll have to be put on hold..to think that i still intended to extend my stay and ask my family to meet me there...*sigh*

The world is getting messy....the best place to be now is probably away from the concretes and metals...somewhere in the jungles/forest perhaps? in the sea? in the grave?

Although i got the iPhone legally through singtel, i need to do it to able to have video camrea and MMS functions...NOW I CAN!! HA!!!

Still need to explore alot other third party apps which i can now install to "upgrade" my iPhone to the super computer/machine!!!

side note: iz quite easy to jail break the iPhone....really.

This time the person jumps into the Panda Enclosure in China, hoping to get a hug from the "cute" panda....Got a bite from the fella instead of a hug...probably got startled and therefore, it acted defensively...

Please people, haven't we learnt our lessons yet? Animals are animals, no matter how docile they are, there is always a risk....so just let them be in their cages...and try not to do anything funny....don't "kill" the animals...if they attack humans, a high possibility that they will be put down....but thenagain, just like the white tiger thingy....theymight not be...Just don't provoke mother nature...You'll never know what you're messing with....

Wakeboarding again!!

Wakeboard again!!! Same place, with Maxout hydrosports at Raffles Marina.

The last time 2 weeks ago, was sunburnt like never before....today came armed with sun block and tanning oil....but the seesion was called off halfway when it rained...end up we had only 2.5 hours of wakeboarding and not much of sun....sigh....will try to arrange another session before end of this year!! Videos coming up soon!!!
